This Is Incredible !!!
Nigel Farage may be hounded out of the UK
Answers
It seems that any suspicion gives banks the right to close accounts, without explanation, to avoid risk, even when such suspicion/ risk seems ridiculously small and remote. That seems wrong. Obviously society shouldn't tip off the bad guys that they are under suspicion, but one wonders what society thinks closing the accounts of everyone around them...

"High st banks including Barclays have written to British customers who live abroad saying their a/c will be wound down. Also expats are to lose their Premium Bond a/c.The reason for this is the UKs Failure to agree a post Brexit trade deal to allow cross border financial services to continue. The Daily mail , The Guardian,The Times and The Daily Telegraph have all warned that Lloyds, Barclays will be closing expat a/c by the end of the year.

//I think the few, how shall I say; 'mentally challenged' on this thread who are pleased that this may happen because they don't personally like this man, fail to see the bigger picture of what is taking place here, & what the implications for Britain really are.//
You could say that, Khandro.
It went reasonably well until post #20, when we saw Mr Farage described as an "idiot". Quite why such a successful businessman and popular politician should be so described one can only guess, but I think I have an idea. Shortly afterwards it was suggested that Mr Farage could have opened an account in the EU - if only we had remained (neglecting to mention that if Mr Farage was banned from banking in the UK, the likelihood that ban would have been EU-wide).
The bigger picture, it seems, is irrelevant. Ad hominem attacks are far more sensible.

This country is increasingly becoming Stasiesque and Big Brother.
Cameras everywhere to control your driving journeys .Banking restrictions with no explanations. A corrupt privileges committee etc

For you but not for me:
For me the angels sing-a-ling-a-ling,
They've got the goods for me.
Oh! Death, where is thy sting-a-ling-a-ling?
Oh! Grave, thy victory?

This is not the country I enjoyed in my youth.

If he has had his bank a/c cancelled due to his stance on Brexit, why hasn't Boris suffered the same fate? And he mentions subject access request taking eons. It normally takes about 1 or 2 months. Then he gets Toby Young who used to work for Vanity Fair mag (sacked due to his addictions and partying) I think there is a lot of spin going on there.
This is probably a factor...

makes you wonder why he ever became a policeman and what happened in the Halcyon days of the Krays and Richardson...

Are you saying that, just to vex and tease ( such as I do)
MLR ( money laudnering regulations that is!) specify this. The Bank makes SAR ( suspicious activity report to its man in the Bank) and he freezes everything for up to 7 d.
silence is mandated for fear of 'tipping off' - really big fines, really long sentences - for the pimply bank clerks that is!
honestly we all really knew this innit?
suspicion - anything not fanciful - but we really knew that innit?
ex police man doesnt know modern finance law - is this news?
( god lucky no one understands what I write so he wont squawk)
If I had my foo-foos frozen ( sounds painful) I wouldnt boast about it.
a neighbour complained about a frozen account and he had no idea why.....
and I said: that is the one that had a payment from Colombia from your brudda innit? ( yes it was) Demned idiot is now on a watch list

Farage lied and lied and lied, again and again and again about the benefits Brexit would bring the UK.
He even said recently, that should there be another referendum on our membership of the EU, the Brexiteers would win – in your dreams mate; no one in their right mind would believe a word this fool says.
