A new poll says if a referendum was held now.

Maybe im wrong, but prior to Brexit,it seemed we had a lot less illegal immigrants rather than legal immigrants.Have you ever watched the YouTube videos of the French gendarmes watching the illegal immigrants getting into their dinghys on the French coast? When asked why they arent stopping these people, they reply-UK not in EU anymore, why should we give a...

I always thought that Brexit was about stopping mass illegal immigration into these isles?Brexsh...sorry,Brexit doesnt seem to have worked from my point of view.
ynna, I don't know where you got that idea. EU citizens were allowed to come here before Brexit. They weren't illegal.
Yes,Naomi,i know that.It just seems to appear to me that there is a larger influx of illegal immigrants into Britain post-Brexit rather than there was before Brexit.Maybe im wrong?
I don't have figures but I think you're right. Maybe all those 'asylum seekers' flooding into Europe liked Brexit.
Well, since Brexsh...sorry,Brexit Britain is certainly their main destination. Before Brexit,a few hundred now and again,post-Brexit thousands every year.So far this year about 45000,next year some are saying about 60 or 70 thousand. All thanks to Brexit.Woopee-doo.
ynna, I don't know where you got that idea.
same place as "£350m can go to the NHS"

oh lordy none so blind as .... blind people

This week: Boris the liar is accusing Rosie the Bank of lying. wonders never cease in this modern world
Why is it thanks to Brexit? Those people aren't EU citizens. They've never had an automatic right to come here.
Why thanks to brexit ynaa... what's the reason brexits caused it. Could just as easily blame illegal immigration on number of times man city won the league recently as the one has coincided with the other.

A huge majority of the illegals are from North and west Africa, the middle East, those parts of the Europe that are not in the EU,(Albania, Armenia,Bosnia, Turkey, etc) and the far east. Very few seem to be from EU countries.
Ynna...what makes you think the French gendarmes on the beach gave a ***** before Brexit. Why would they make more effort to keep them in France just because uk was in EU. They wanted rid of them then and they do now too

Always thought Thatcher did the most damage to the UK.
But Brexit has even pushed her into second place .
Gully, have you noticed all of these illegal immigrants are fleeing the lovely EU, why is that, take all the time you need.
@08.54.Prior to Brexit,a few hundred now and again, after Brexit thousands upon thousands?Must be some kind of a connection there?

09.26 Perhaps they are bringing sour grapes with them. For you .
They like us better, ynna.
" @08.54.Prior to Brexit,a few hundred now and again, after Brexit thousands upon thousands?Must be some kind of a connection there?"

You could change the word brexit to covid and it would make as much sense.
@09.40.As they say-"Brexit would be bad enough without Covid,Covid would be bad enough without Brexit",but both of them together is a double-whammy which will do Britain no good whatsoever. We could have prevented Brexit,Covid was unavoidable.
