Following yet another attack by an American Bully XL, a powerful dog that has killed people in the UK, Suella Braverman is ordering urgent advice on banning them. Your thoughts?
Yes but most other breeds are loving and caring and less risk of savaging people....we know why certain types of people want these and its not as a lovely loving caring pet
If you check you see I posted same time as you so hadn't seen it.
But I have read it now and don't agree with it.
It's the combination of dog breed and owner that's the problem...and vast majority of the types who pick the bullyxs are people who want one for a reason that's not the same as someone who wants a lab or retriever or spaniel
Righto... a selection test/ interview, references, maybe dbs check training course and proficiency exam before you can have a dog and then regular performance reviews???
Whilst it's true that some owners are irresponsible, dogs do possess distinct characteristics according to breed. Our Border Collie was never trained to herd sheep but he displayed all the characteristics and talents of one that had. I do believe that, regardless of owner, these dogs are innately aggressive.
