Gulliver, as I wrote on another post some time ago, for 25 years I lived in a constituency that was mostly held by Conservatives, with Liberal in second place and Labour a poor third. During that time I was a member of the Labour party and would knock on doors to be greeted with polite rejection of my plea for people to vote Labour. I attended meetings right up until Jeremy Corbyn was elected leader. I objected to the way that Corbyn was directing the party and said so at meetings. Because of this I was verbally abused because of my views. I then decided it was time to leave the party that I had worked so hard to support. When Starmer was elected I thought about rejoining the party but cannot in all honesty agree with the way that he conducts himself. When it comes to election time I will decide who to vote for.
But for you to suggest that I have joined the Con club once agin shows your thinking, that being anybody who disagrees with you must be a Conservative.
As I said I left the Labour party because of verbal abuse and it makes me wonder who those Labour supporters remind of.
