One For The Climate Change Naysayers
Unfortunately with their heads in the sand they probably won't notice it getting warmer. Never mind, one day soon there'll be plenty more sand for them.

Reliable weather records only began in about 1880, so less than 150 years ago. The Earth has existed for more than 4.5 billion years and mankind has been around for 150,000 years. So, the Earth has existed for about 30 million times as long as there have been reliable weather records and for about 30,000 times as long as mankind has been around. So not really much in the way of history to go on.
However, that’s not my point when it comes to climate change. There is no doubt that the climate is changing. It always has and always will. It seems a reasonable assumption (though not a fact) that mankind has had a lot to do with the recent changes. But my concern comes from the measures that are being proposed to “combat” these changes.
We saw in 2020 how the “scientists” and “experts” forecast the progress that Covid would take and the measures they believed would be necessary to “combat” a natural occurrence. Gullible politicians in almost every country took their advice as gospel, despite the fact that when the advice was devised it concentrated on just one facet of the problem – attempting to “fight” the spread of the virus. This was singularly unsuccessful because, as almost any fool knows, airborne respiratory viruses will spread among humans and the only way to prevent that is to isolate every single human being from every other. Some countries (e.g. China) had the most ridiculous policy of all – one of “Zero Covid.” And we all know how that turned out. Few countries seemed to take account of the side effects of the strategies they devised to prevent spread and it is now becoming quite clear that the “cure” (which in any case, failed to work as a cure at all) was worse than the disease.
And so we turn to the problem of climate change. Again, scientists and experts have forecast its progress and recommended measures to prevent it worsening. Governments worldwide have taken their advice and some – including our own - have proposed ridiculous measures which they believe will “combat” a natural phenomenon. Once again, the advice concentrates almost solely on “fighting” the problem and little or no concern has been shown for the undoubted side effects that the proposals will generate. The strategy also, coincidentally has a nought in the title, and we have “Net Zero” paraded before us for breakfast, dinner and tea.
To summarise, I am by no means a climate change denier or naysayer. In fact I would be very surprised if the climate was not changing. What I dispute is the measures being proposed to combat it. Firstly I doubt they will be successful and secondly, as with Covid, no account has been taken of the effects that some of these radical ideas will have other than on the climate. Like the Covid strategy, it’s rather like burning your house down to rid yourself of a wasps’ nest.
Make sure that you educate youselves about the real factors causing climate change. Judge andthe people who base their opinions on fact rather that emotion(emotions are easier to manipulate that facts and that is why con men and charlatans can hold sway) are correct. We have been mislead by people who are making a damned good living by arranging for us to be financially milked by cohorts of theirs. In the last 800,00 years there have been 9 massive temperature rises on Earth. The rises have all been rapid and the cooling periods protracted, with temperature rises and falls during those cooling periods. We are currently nearing one of those high mean temperature peaks and the following cooling period of, 100,000 years or so, is going to be pretty brutal after we have destroyed our means of producing affordable cheap energy with a Global population at it's highest ever. THese fluctuations over time fit very neatly into the Milankovitch cycles that are being ignored totally by our official experts. Another point that is being ignored by the vested interest experts is that higher temperatures on Earth encourage more CO² not more CO² causes higher temperatures. There is an interesing video below it is about 13 minutes in duration but the insight can last a lifetime.
