The left tend to support the Palestinian cause because the Palestinians have been treated abominably.  However, that, is as far as their mentality takes them because they fail to consider a world in which those they champion triumph and the unthinkable repercussions of that   Not something that anyone with a modicum of intelligence would want.

This is a subject that can tie the left up in knots.

Take Corbyn - he described Hamas as "friends", but this is the same Hamas who hate women and gays. It's a real conundrum for them. To my mind support of Hamas is tacit approval of misogyny and homophobia.

I agree Naomi.  The Palastians have been treated very badly and I feel very strongly against Israel and this situation isn't surprising I don't support Hamas and I'm not anti semitic.   I realise why all this is happening.  It was inevitable.  I don't think we should interfere with other cultures to  be honest. Im  neither right or left wing but lean to the right TTTs statement about the left wing being generally anti semitic is ridiculous.
