Surely that is unfair dismissal, you can't just fire someone for pointing out a potential danger. He's bang on, almost no one speaks Welsh not even the Welsh yet they waste huge resources trying to teach kids something they will never need and having signs x 2 for everthing. A literal translation would be “the oven that goes ping”, which, while being very Pythonesque, and incredibly funny, isn’t actually true. Why would anyone waste time with a language that even most of the indigenous population don't speak? Pointless. Watch S4C one day, they don't even have words for a lot of things so they use English ones and make them sound a bit Welsh. It's a waste of brain space to make kids learn something they'll never use when they could be using that space for something they might well use.

Yeah right oh spicerack, the English dictionary fills 20 volumes. It is the langauge of the world, science, Engineering, Air Traffic control etc etc... It's what the rest of the world teach their kids as soon as they can....so we really need to nick words from Welsh!

It's a good job the French (lentement) or the Germans (langsamer) don't insist on their own language on road signs. Imagine in France coming across "arretez-vous" at a junction; you'd have crossed the junction before you had time to read it.
