The size of the explosion can be explained by Unspent fuel and other munitions being stored where it landed. Once again their people pay for Hamas barbarity, storing arms in hospitals and schools. How did these people ever win an "election"? Sadly the kids their will grow up hating Israel when the real enemy is their chosen representatives.

The US tracks everything that gets thrown in the air.  They will be able to work out where the particular rocket was launched from.  I would be surprised if Israel claim an own goal by Hammas if they are aware that US could disprove their claim.

john kirby in his statement from the national security council was very guarded... all he would say is that "we certainly recognise that they feel very strongly that this was not caused by them"...

more information might be forthcoming... or we might never know

The pictures and video would indicate that the hospital was not hit or much damaged: whatever it was came down in the car park and incinerated a lot of cars.

 I would not be suprised if it was a stray Hamas missile, they do not look very professional.
