Further, unlike Hamas and associates it is not Israel's declared intention to wipe any nation off the face off the earth. Frankly if your principles were mine I'd readjust them. All I can say is be careful what you wish for. Those people would separate your head from your shoulders without a second thought.
Untitled //the conflation of support for palestine with support for hamas is a cynical and invalid ploy...//

The Israel Defence Forces (& I) would like to see Hamas removed with the minimun casualties, but it isn't possible to remove them without doing so because they have embedded, and been allowed by the civilian population to be embedded, in their schools, hospitals & residential sites.
There is an alternative, which could stop this immediately, something I have not heard suggested by anyone, and what has been common throughout the history of warfare...... surrender.
Ahh essays. I am glad that there are some willing to read them from whatever source. They sometomes have insights we hadn't considered or information that we were unaware of. I have an essay for you. Not mine and not from a source that you would usually seek. It is however an essay that is of interest to all who like to read essays. It is perhaps a little thought provoking, though the thoughtless need none. It compares Hamas with the nazis and reflects that Hitler did his best to hide his evil doings though hamas brazenly films and broadcasts their own atrocities. It is not a 15 minute read for the over emotional.
hi khandro
i am pleased that you observe the valid parallel between the actions of israel and the massacres committed by hamas and russia. i have condemned hamas several times... i can't actually remember if i wrote anything on answerbank when the bucha massacre happened but bear in mind that not saying something on theanswerbank is not the same as not saying anything at all! Both of those things were unconscionable massacres carried out by groups intent on genocide... that doesn't give israel carte blanche to do the same
re: anti-semitism... i notice that this term is nearly always used to describe critics of israel... you will notice that i have carefully worded my posts to criticise the present israeli government and the IDF as an institution for carrying out crimes against humanity... i have also read the smotrich plan which is a blueprint for ethnic cleansing... i haven't said anything at all about jews as people and nor would i. if i am anti semite i think i'm a pretty rubbish one.
