What about the hostages?

They have to channel and pump sea water into the tunnels.  I read the other day that they intend doing that by using a series of pipes.

Have you read your own link? You haven't, have you?

Scroll down to the paragraph beginning with, "This week the Israelis have suggested they are planning to flood the tunnels with seawater. However........................."

I fear that behind the scenes the Israeli government is absolutely going to get rid of Hamass in any way it can.  I read somewhere that one plan is to force a gas into the tunnels and then strike a match.  I think they will, privately, accept the remaining hostages as being collateral damage to achieve their goal. I fully expect Hamass to be removed from the scene for many many years.

Roy stop trolling.

Question Author

yes I did ken... just fill them up till they are all full.

Trolling?

What are you blathering on about?

Roy isn't trolling, TTT.   He's asked a pertinent question.

Question Author

Of course it's trolling or he's incredibly thick. FGS it goes without saying that the hostages will be got out first! Roy just follows me around trying to score points.

Question Author

They probably don't even need to pump just open a channel to the sea and the sea will rush in to ....err sea level. Sorted.

TTT, //FGS it goes without saying that the hostages will be got out first! //

Does it?  How?  They've got to find them first - in over 300 miles of tunnels.

Question Author

yes but once they clear them they can be put out of action permanently by flooding them

We've already established that that is what they intend doing.

Why would they be removed first ? They act as a deterrent.

yes but once they clear them they can be put out of action permanently by flooding them

You have to be incredibly thick to think that would work.

well enlighten me oh wise one.

Hamas is an idea. Hard to kill with bombs and bullets, especially as many of the Hamas followers don't even live in Gaza ...

I don't see how they can clear them.  Over 300 miles of tunnels full of Hamas fighters.   I fear Paul22118 may be right.  If they're going to do it they will just have to do it.

As it says in your linked article, which you've apparently still not read, the sandstone is porous and any water will soon seep away.
