Anything to say in this persons favour/defence?

Especially as they were not fit for purpose and were not used ...

1) a startup gets a lucrative contract from the government

2) the startup gets substandard equipment from China, and sells it to the NHS at a large profit

3) the NHS doesn't use the gear, the startup's hidden owners takes the profit into the Isle of Man, and the government, the startup and the NHS are all potentially criminally culpable.

That's without even mentioning the lying, the duplicity  and the connection between the government, its Baroness, her husband and the startup.

"Give me Leftie policy of Envy against Rightie policy of Greed any day."

Both are among the Seven Deadly Sins and as far as I am aware the early Christian authors who devised the list gave no order of precedence.

I HAVE to say I didnt pay attention to what leddy said 2 years ago. Did she er keep mum, or say that she was not?

big difference to liability

Both are among the Seven Deadly Sins  - no peccedence

I thought first about whether the ten Commandments were ordered - do not kill is low down as it is of lesser importance than swearing...

before turning to the vexed question of whether lust is worse than sloth

and a christmassy thought floated from high into my mind ( sinful soul)

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

( er the discerning reader will notice these are not sins but DO have a hierarchy/order)

The two of them are under criminal investigation. That doesn't normally happen from just making a profit from running a business.

The damage limitation interview seemed like a bit of a Prince Andrew moment to me, but we'll see what happens.

Why is she a Baroness?  Greedy woman.  Get her out of parliament.

30% profit on £200m - "well that is industry " the husband brightly quipped !  - and almost added, very good businiess men do that sort of  thing

cant find out if she is ex ( baroness) or sort of in limbo

I wonder, had we been talking about a Labour peer, if Tora would've been quite so forgiving.

Yes I would, show me where I have ever berated anyone for making a profit.

Unfortunately I don't have the time or the willpower to plough through your vast catalogue of comments in order to do that.

However, I'm fairly sure the phrase "nasty lefties" would be amongst your responses to a Labour MP profiteering from the pandemic.

I'll save you the time Mozz there isn't one because I would never admonish anyone for entrepreneurial spirit regardless of their politics.

"However, I'm fairly sure the phrase "nasty lefties" would be amongst your responses to a Labour MP profiteering from the pandemic. " - how poorly you know me.

Now kicked out of the party I believe

tories gonna tory

Hmm, things have been moving fast since yesterday morning's car-crash ...

What about  the 50 other companies also awarded PPE contracts. Are they all going to be investigated? Why  just this one?

Yes, there are lots of other investigations. But they are taking forever ...
