Looks like even "Right on" Brighton don't want this bloke as their MP.

If he doesn't make the cut in Brighton, I can't see it happening anywhere else (thank the Good Lord).
Anyway, I seem to remember him (along with many other "celebrities") threatening to quit the UK if we left the EU, so why is he still here at all, let alone campaigning to become a Parliamentary candidate.
she lost to a better candidate... tom gray is a really strong choice and would be an excellent MP
let's hope labour have more candidates of such calibre... with slightly less stupid, selfish and cruel leadership this country might actually undo some of the terrible harm done by the conservatives over the last 13 years
"...she who, wheres the she, i must have missed that candidate..."
From Wiki:
"Izzard identifies as genderfluid and calls herself "somewhat boy-ish and somewhat girl-ish". She uses the word "transgender" as an umbrella term. When asked in 2019 what pronouns she preferred, Izzard responded, "either 'he' or 'she'" and explained, "If I am in boy mode, then 'he', or girl mode, 'she'".[n 2020, she requested she/her pronouns for an appearance on the TV show Portrait Artist of the Year and said she wants "to be based in girl mode from now on". In March 2023, she announced that she would begin using the name Suzy in addition to Eddie, saying that she is "going to be Suzy Eddie Izzard". Explaining that she had wanted to use the name Suzy since she was 10 years old, she added that people "can choose" which name they want to use to refer to her, and that she would keep using Eddie Izzard as her public name since it is more widely recognised."
So there you are - as clear as mud. And to think this person has ambitions to become an MP.
Regarding Eddie Izzard...from wiki
" Izzard identifies as genderfluid[87][88] and calls herself "somewhat boy-ish and somewhat girl-ish".[18] She uses the word "transgender" as an umbrella term.[89] When asked in 2019 what pronouns she preferred, Izzard responded, "either 'he' or 'she'" and explained, "If I am in boy mode, then 'he', or girl mode, 'she'".[90] In 2020, she requested she/her pronouns for an appearance on the TV show Portrait Artist of the Year and said she wants "to be based in girl mode from now on".[91] In March 2023, she announced that she would begin using the name Suzy in addition to Eddie, saying that she is "going to be Suzy Eddie Izzard".[2][1] Explaining that she had wanted to use the name Suzy since she was 10 years old, she added that people "can choose" which name they want to use to refer to her,[1][2] and that she would keep using Eddie Izzard as her public name since it is more widely recognised.[92] "
Regardless of what Suzy Eddie would prefer, the fact remains that, he will always be a 'he' regardless of his 'feels' on the matter.
His ridiculous posing and failure to actually live in his proposed constituency (ditto Sheffield, last time) have been seen through by the wise folk of Brighton who rightly rejected having a sub-par pantomime dame as their possible MP.
