I don’t think there can be much doubt that Trump incited insurrection – he wanted Mike Pence to overturn the election result (that he would announce in Congress); and in a famous telephone call asked the Georgia Secretary of State to find 11,780 votes in his favour (one more than he needed to win the State).
You couldn’t get much more corrupt than that.

newmodarmy. I think there have to be solid rules. Unless someone has been convicted legitimately by those qualified to judge, of a crime, misdemeanour or indiscretion that legally bars them from standing for election, no one person, whatever their status, should be able to disqualify them by simply drawing their own 'conclusions'. This is not democracy in action - quite the reverse - and that really is a very slippery slope.
