The Majority of Brits now blame Brexit for fuelling inflation and the cost of living crisis, as well as leading to a record  net migration,... a new poll has shown....This poll by Opinium says out of 22.000 people interviewed 48%  said Brexit was bad for the UK .While only 22% thought that Brexit had a good impact . Two thirds said Brexit has been a factor of sky high inflation 46% also say Brexit had a bad impact on the NHS  and 53% said Brexit had reduced the ability to control their own borders So there you go then "You have never had it so bad.

@NMA 18:41 - as I said in an earlier post - a mere 2000 were polled. How that gets conflated to 20,000 is beyond me. Just one of the usual claims, painting a situation more dire than it actually is.

I know blubster- I was just highlighting that gulliver had actually typed 22.000- ie 22, not 2000 or 22000. If only there was a copy and paste function that could be used to get these things right.

TORATORATORA, "Anyone with a remote grasp of economics knows that QE = Inflation."

Really?

"The biggest criticism of QE is that it might cause rampant inflation,” says Tilley [chief economist at Wilmington Trust in Philadelphia and a prior economic advisor at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia].
But that doesn’t always happen. For instance, inflation never materialized in the 2009-2015 period when the Fed implemented QE in response to the financial crisis."

"QE has supported our aim of having low and stable inflation
Research on the functioning and effectiveness of QE suggests that it has supported our aim to keep inflation in low and stable. This aim is known as ‘monetary stability’."

"What I assemble is data that shows that although QE clearly did increase the money supply it did not in any way influence inflation upward."

'Last week, deputy governor Ben Broadbent said that the perceptions that QE leads to rapid growth in the money supply and excessive inflation “are not well supported by the evidence”.'

I strongly recommend that you, if you are able to comprehend grown up dialogue, read the article in the Briefings for Britain link that I posted earlier. It is concise without missing detail, and measured without being partisan. It is not likely to be available in any Eeyoo report and is strangely missing from our "legacy" outlets.

Togo @ 19.46 Would you like to specify to who!  you are talking to please.

//if you are able to comprehend grown up dialogue,//

This line is the guidance you are looking for. i.e. Nothing for you to nibble your crayons over in there.

It is 'to whom' you are talking to.

"Would you like to specify to who!  you are talking to please."

English is not your strong point then...remember that next time you attempt to pick on others...

And next time you post on here dishing out warnings and giving it the big i am, dont expect to slope away with out any comeback...

Dative tense, gulliver, just to explain retrocop's comment.

I could post a Brexit disaster story everyday on here – but to Brexiteers Brexit is a cult, and woe betide anyone who criticises their beloved Brexit.

No amount of damage to the UK, whether economic, inconvenience or otherwise will dissuade them – to them Brexit is sacrosanct and must never be undone or undermined in anyway.

20.57 + 21.02  I know who I am talking to when you pair appear on AB.

...........A pair of eejits...

and you still dont know what irony is....you eejit...

you see, whats good for the goose is good for the gander

Wrong, gulliver.English Tories and Scottish SNPers are the real bunch of eejits.....Err,did you just use the word"eejits"?...Are you sure you arent from Coatbridge?

Wrong again miffy. As has been explained to you many times the (estimated) votes for brexit by SNP ers made no difference to the final outcome.

But you know that really, I'm sure.

They should have asked that nearly 5,000 who responded that Brexit had had a good impact on the UK, what that good impact was – or were they just Tory party members towing the party line?

Hymie, now I'm sure you know that's nonsense.  Why do you think all those traditional Labour voters in the north voted for Boris?  I'm surprised you're not dizzy with all the spinning you do.

A bad decision then,a bad decision now.

..spin spin and spin again, Naomi MUST be sooo dizzy!

AND all the other B'exiters on AB.

Togo 'Cumulative Real GDP Growth in 2022 and 2023 (% change)

UK                                        4.6

Italy                                     4.4

USA                                      4.2

EU                                        4.0

France                                 3.5

Germany                             1.3 '

Yes Togo, BUT Britain was much further behind other EU countries to start with, so our economy had A LOT more catching up to do.
