iran is several times bigger than iraq and has a huge arsenal of medium range missiles and drones... it would be an absolute disaster and worse even than the iraq invasion... probably worse than vietnam!!!

I think we could take action against Iran and we may have to. Not a full scale war of course but they've been attacked before and despite a lot of bloodcurdling threats they know they are weak compared to the west. It needs to stay that way. Have you  noticed how despite all the dire predictions Hezbollah has stayed out of the Gaza war? It seems some media outlets are just bursting for an "escalation" "Houthis threaten this and that - what'll they do next " Well they re already doing it. We tried  to appease Putin - look where he's at now

Israel did actually bomb an Iraqi nuclear facility in the 80s which is why Iran build theirs underneath mountains... i think they're a bit wise to that old trick.

Iran is supplying all kinds of weapons - including rockets and drones to these Islamic "freedom" fighters. It's not a huge leap to consider they might supply nukes once they have them & if said "freedom" fighters use nukes will folks still say "Well - it wasn't Iran so we can't justify going to war with them."?

we can't justify going to war with Iran because it would be an absolute catastrophe... it would make our entanglement in Iraq look like a picnic! why don't we ever learn? 
 

those who call most enthusiastically for war tend in my experience to be those with little experience of it and the comfort of knowing they'll never have to fight. someone else will do it for them.

i thought obama's deal with Iran was very promising. it was working quite well i thought until his successor blew all that work away.

The US has the military capability to destroy Iran many times iver before we even begin to talk about nukes. Iran knows this fine well: why do you think they do what they do they say they do? Sneakily, through proxies like the three Hs. No one is taking about "war" but we have the ability to make tactical strikes when needed. And it's already happened. Israel took out a leading Hamasite in Lebanon. What happened? Nothing. Iran has already been attacked. So has Syria. Both probably by Israel. It's either that or wait till nukes arrive on the scene

Forget nukes - anyone using them Knows the retaliation will be instantaneous & amount to an act suicide.

The danger is chemical weapons - a Hamas terrorist has already been found in Gaza City with plans on him how to make them, supplied of course by Iran.
