Is this and attempt at another Anti British love in?

Good on the fella, I hope he rest's easy.

I have heard and I wish him well.  Going through cancer treatment isn't easy for anyone - and being a king doesn't make it less unpleasant and or less debilitating.

Being anti-monarchy isn't anti-British!

Question Author

Just seen it on 3 different channels, must be old news then?

I won't be working at 75

It's not old news.  He thanked everyone when he had his recent operation but this is his first public statement since being diagnosed with cancer.  This is the BBC from an hour ago.

All the news outlets will be reporting it.

I think it's more about anti sycophancy wrt royalty. A small paragraph mid newspaper (or news broadcast) would be more appropriate than kicking real news off of every front page to headline a "thank you" from Charles.

I don't think good wishes and thoughts would be great  comfort to me. Now very fast treament would be for sure.

If the king makes a public statement it's always going to make headlines because he's the king.  I can't see the problem.

Question Author

Anyone heard of any statements from Sunak on what he's going to do about the state of the NHS. I need some sort of comfort maybe of his plans?

Yes... about £190 billion a year. That's about £4000 pa per taxpayer.

Question Author

Have you a link to that statement NMA?

Might have. I've never seen you ask gulliver for a link.

Question Author

I'll wait until you find it thks. Oh, can't see that gulliver has posted on this thread yet, can you?

I wish him well.

Apparently he was at church this morning? Maybe I was reading some older news!

Question Author

Maybe gone to put his penny in the tray.
