I watched most of the video.
The interesting point the lawyer made was that unlike Florida and Texas, where the law supports defence of threats to life and property with lethal force, under New York law, if you have an avenue of escape, you are obliged to take it, and failure to so so is liable to result in charges.
It's just unbelievable, isn't it?
A car pulled onto my driveway a while ago, I looked out of the window and saw my next-door neighbour sitting in the passenger seat. Someone had given her a lift home from somewhere and couldn't park on her drive because her car was parked there.
If I owned a gun, would I go out there and shoot them? Of course not, but why?
