I hope not

Dito

I absolutely believe he us, and he will be President in November.

I believe at least some of the legal cases against him are vexatious and politically motivated.

I entirely understand the rationale behind such actions, but that does not make them morally right.

If you combine the ability of Mr Trump's long-proven ability to generate significant support, and balance that against the inability of the incumbent to remember which country he is talking about on any one day, there can only reasonably be one outcome.

Like the press, we, or in this case America, gets the politicians it deserves.

Panorama "Trump the sequel" is on at 8, sounds interesting.

Oddly enough err indoors said "why doesn't someone just shoot him?"!

I don't think it's the first time that's been asked, Tora.

Plenty of time yet of course.

You'd think a nation like the US would give their people a better choice that a bloke who can barely remember his own name and one that'll likely get us into WW3!

Trump has already announced that he will be a dictator should he win the presidential election – be afraid, be very afraid.

Given the US, like the UK, has a choice between the devil and the deep blue sea, it probably doesn't matter much. It's just another period to bear until someone capable gets elected.

Re. OP.  Yes, I think he is.  I've thought for a long time that he would be back.

I think that this time he is more dangerous in many ways.  Last time he did refresh some systems.

America is between a rock and a hard place and either choice is dangerous both to them and the rest of the world.

I don't think Trump will actually leave NATO, but the threat should stir it up & may 'up' the West's defences, which seems like a good idea at the moment. Why he is the likely Republican is beyond me.  Money?

I really, really don't understand why Biden has so much support either.  Money again?

All very dangerous and unsettling.

It's a strange form of democracy when only the rich are in a position to offer themselves as leader.

I believe at least some of the legal cases against him are vexatious and politically motivated.

they are always decided on the grounds ( er as we all  well know by this  time) - I think the Trump Supreme Court has said -  "nothing to do with us ! go else where !"

which is wise - for them, the legal system and America.

(Odd for judges to say - "o look it is a law ! And we cant decide it as we normally do, day in and day out. The men who made it ( legislators) or their successors must.").

Elections here are governed by the Representation of the People Act and interpreted by the Electoral court system which has recently  been resurrected if not impregnated

It's a strange form of democracy when only the rich are in a position to offer themselves as leader.

and the surpreme court would say  - that is the will of the people and we cannot as a matter of law change it.... ( so what are they doing as a court then?)

America deserves the President it gets ... it's the impact on the rest of the world that concerns me.

In actual fact andy, Trump is now showing more signs of dementia than Biden. That's not just my opinion, but widely reported.

The trouble is that when Biden says ridiculous incoherent stuff, people (correctly) see it as a problem. However, when the self declared stable genius does it his supporters love him more than ever.

Biden will at least be controllable by the adults in the room, as Reagan was when he started to lose the plot. Trump not so.

he certainly seems confident he'll beat Obama on the day.

It's all thanks to his wife Mercedes jno.

that's the way the Mercedes Benz, I guess

Tomus, Trump says he does it deliberately to be ironic. You probably don't believe him, i certainly don't believe him, but those who attend his rallies and witness his mental decline believe him and would vote for him even if he wet his pants and dribbled saliva down his chin.

//Trump says he does it deliberately to be ironic. You probably don't believe him//

If that's what he or his team says I definitely don't believe them.
