The thing is that illegal immigration, or immigration generally for that matter, isn't a left vs right issue. It's just the political parties that are supposed to be left and right leaning have different tactics to tackle the problem. The Tories like to talk about what they are going to do to solve it, but spoilers & blockers aside, they still actually do very little. Whereas Labour give the appearance that their solution is to think it is ok, and are happy to let it get as bad as possible. Given that, one might think support for a third option may come from voters of both persuasions. After all, worse comes to worst, it'd still stop the present useless parties, and it need only last one term.
Add to that the need to take action on other issues, such as removing wokeness and bringing sanity back, and maybe the electorate may wake up to the need to vote for change, if change is ever to become a possibility.

Exactly and to be fair to them it's a very difficult problem. The only advantage Reform has is that it's not in power and can propose solutions that sound tough but unlike the government those measures won't be seen to fail
How have Labour stymied the Tories' asylum policy? The Conservatives have had a healthy majority all through this Parliament: unfortunately it is not in any case within the power of the government to reform the asylum rules: they are a part if international agreements, and even if they did it would not stop illegals. Labour has said that they would invest in assisting the French to actually physically stop people trying to cross, in targeting people traffickers, and in clearing the backlog of asylum claims. Not very headline grabbing, but what the Tories have tried has not worked. No use blaming others. We have couerts and lawa for a reason and if you flout them they won't be there when you need them yourself.
