TTT Who mentioned Spain? There are 26 More Countries in the EU...  me old china.

Yes but Spain was not in the EUSSR in the 60s, just illustrating that people used to holiday in Europe even then. Now do you have a link to the story you'd like to discuss as suggested by the site?

13:08 oh and before the pedants get their alans in a brahms I mean common market-EEC-EC-EUSSR etc the whole sequence of names.

Davebro they didn't teach you much about the Eu in that school of Radicalisation did they, or were you a bit slow at learning.

Unless we find some way of towing the UK out into the Atlantic we will always be in Europe. Lots of areas in Europe have better weather than the UK (this was also true before Brexit) and sun-starved Brits like to go and enjoy it.

However, not everyone wants sun/sand/sea and rather than blame Brexit for the indifferent weather we usually enjoy, they make the most of staycations in the UK.

It's hard but maybe we should just ignore these trolling/windingup/rude/idiotic posts.

NMA 13.16 How else will you get your daily Fix.?

Gulliver,I asked where you found this 'news'.  Please have the courtesy to answer me.

13.23 You could try various media outlets like The Holiday Times , Yahoo news or .Msn UK.

Try a caravan, or even a tent, you dont know what your missing with

being over there, with all them sweat ridden foreigners.

BA for davebro at 12:38 😄

Thank you, gulliver.  So basically anything that mentions holidays in the rest of Europe.

Why must we put up with this utter bullcrap from an online troll every single day?  Total nonsense.

naomi, I've reported the insult about davebro - it's also an irrelevant thread and shouldn't be in News.

And don't infer that we are expensive down here as to a cottage. It's not as if Czech R is short of a few £1k/week homes to rent for a holiday. Just one site needed to find them - look at the map, prices are per night.

I for one will not holiday in the EU, except for Cyprus and Crete. I find that in most EU countries the Brits are treated like ***, which could be down to the way some behave.  Recent holidays have been to Cuba, Mexico and Florida.  Good value and welcoming countries.

DTC, gulliver's 'insults' of that nature say more about him than his targets - and Brits experiencing travel delays to the rest of Europe is news - every holiday season.  Hard I know, but we have to try to reason it through without bias as best we can so that's about it.   Now you've reported it, should my explanation not be sufficient, the editors will make a decision.

Protected species.

Or Ed's nephew.

As far as I'm aware neither, YMB.
