The police are closing some of London's streets this weekend so that everyone can enjoy, 'Pakistani Independence Day'. I hope you will you be celebrating. Will you?

It has no place in the UK. People should not be publicly celebrating the day outside their own homes and community centres. I.E.- they have left Pakistan and settled here, so it is a private matter only and shouldn't really merit more than a personal thought. Or are you saying that immigrants are not truly integrated?
Pakistan's Independence Day was on Wednesday of this week, with India's on Thursday. Despite the two countries' many differences, members of both communities celebrated on the streets of London together.
