If There Was Any Doubt Of Labour's Anti...

"He'll boost economic growth by slashing corporate taxes, red tape and government spending.
Which is the exact opposite of what Labour is plotting under Keir Starmer.
Instead of talking up the UK economy, Starmer has talked it down at every opportunity. He's destroyed business confidence by warning things will get worse."
"UK energy secretary Ed Miliband is blocking new North Sea oil exploration licences and throwing money at unproven green tech such as carbon capture and storage.
The US economy will soon be running red hot, while the UK will be taking a cold bath."
Oh dear Labour!

What has Trump said about mass deportation?
During his campaign, Trump did not release detailed plans on how he would deport the estimated 11 million immigrants living in the U.S. illegally. But he offered a glimpse into what he might do in campaign speeches and in comments made by his advisers.
So the 'news' is, that he hasn't said anything about those numbers !!
Talk about putting words into someone's mouth. Bit of a lefty, rag, that journal you read.
he has promised to deport undocumented migrants khandro and that is a fact. there are at least 11 million of those according to best estimates, that is also a fact (trump actually thinks it is as many as 15-20 million). he has also said he is willing to deploy the national guard and army in order to do so and that the policy comes with no price tag.
stop licking this man's boots. it is undignified and embarrassing.
one part of my family is a couple of "judaizing" christians in georgia (christians who observe jewish law). they believe that the democrats are controlled by a conspiracy of devil-worshipping pedophiles and voted for trump because they believe he will put them to death.
another is in the american air force. he believes that mr trump will introduce tax cuts and doesn't really care what he might do to anyone else.
another is an owner of a bunch of small hotels (b&bs) in the carolinas. she also believes the pedophile conspiracy theory.
1 and 3 both believe that all (or nearly all) undocumented migrants are enemies of the USA and corrupt it by their presence. 2 simply doesn't care what happens to them.
newjudge - i explained my problems with the policy earlier.

This accounts for a for a great deal !!

But any undocumented migrants working in the USA are doing so illegally. You seem to be saying that the country must simply put up with that because employers have also been breaking the law by employing them and as a result now depend on them.
Biden's plan for a "pathway" to citizenship simply encourages more of them to arrive illegally. Mr Trump's plan for a "pathway" back across the border will put a stop to that.
If the US really is dependant upon huge numbers of illegal foreign workers to staff some of its major industries, (a) it should re-assess its economic model and (b) in the meantime it should develop an immigration policy which allows its authorities to invite the people whom they want to settle there. Simply allowing a free-for-all across the Mexican border does not seem very wise.
