Some on here have claimed that Truss has a good case for defamation, in that the proposed budget was never implemented.

But if you are prime minister and propose some nonsense financial policy (to be enacted by your government) that will wreck the economy - who is to blame for that?

So have many outside of aB the reason being becasue she has.

It's all about the words, as 2TK should know.  It was the BoE that caused the fluctuation as they have admitted, added to this was the Money men making hay while the sun shone, no doubt egged on by fianaciers like Mr Sunak.

Whether it's true or not, bringing the law into political discourse is clearly as deluded as she obviously is.

If such a case was to succeed, the house of commons would become very quiet. They'd just sit there not criticising each other.

The threat was sufficient, implementation wasn't needed. It crashed on her/their watch, so yes.

If the economy crashes the day after you announce a budget, you're either responsible for the crash or bloody unlucky with your timing.

I guess her case is that Starmer can't prove she wasn't bloody unlucky. Good luck with that Lizz.
