I remember watching a programme several years ago where the couple had a party to celebrate the birth of their baby......what did the guests eat??? Yup.....it was placenta pate!!!

That was Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall. He did a series called TV Dinners, during an episode of which he notoriously flamb�ed and pur�ed a human placenta which was served as a p�t� and "much enjoyed by the baby's family and friends".

Oh gosh yeah Boo I remember watching that! I'm not sure if this was the same prog as well but I seem to remember placenta being cooked up but also it was buried under a tree so that all the nutrients went to the tree that was planted for the child and they could both nourish and grow together etc. They had a party and planting ceremony with all their friends, scoffing into placenta pate! There's been one or 2 other progs like that over the years tho I think. Yuck! It's up there with carrying on breastfeeding your baby when it's at school age to me I'm afraid!

Does anyone really care???? I have heard about as much as i can take about Katie and Tom!!!!! they kept saying in the press how huge she was but to me she just looked like any other pregnant woman! God help the child, thats all i can say. ~wingnut~ Boo, i remember that programme. It was gross. Not one you'd forget in a hurry. I remember them inviting friends round to eat it. YUK. I would have to say i was busy that night.I also remember the planting of the tree and the placenta! weird! weren't they just typical hippy types though? apologies to any hippys out there!

He was interviewd by Diane Sawyers and denied he was going to eat the placenta and basically said there was no way he could stop Kate doing what she wanted including epidural - sarah has already said this.Wish he hadnt kept the hype going cos its just not funny inferring in numerous interviews he wanted a silent birth.He seemed to think it was funny - think he' gone a bit cuckoo LOL

i know, boring isn't it. i think this whole scientology has been blown out of proportion by the press. John Travolta is a follower and anything he does is fine by me.lol its been reported several times that she does not have to remain silent but still the press harp on about this issue! makes a good story though doesn't it! yes, good luck to them and their baby, they're gonna need it!!!

Bless them... I think hes a little kooky but I also reckon hes an exceptionally easy target as has is just such a nice guy. I think they are an odd couple but hats off to her for having a natural birth.

She insisted on being admitted to hospital and ahe had an epidural - go girl!! I had one after abot 10 hrs with ny first - bliss.With J - my ace feisty wee daughter who i love to within an inch of my life -I had nothing and boy have I suffered since.My son is placid and is at Uni (forceps - epidural).Daugther - woosh -let me in in here.She is so like me me - in your face -not nasty - I adore my two and would give my life for them but how can i bring two children up with the sane values be lsooooooo diffferent?
