Everyone seems to be up in arms about these Pete Doherty pics in the news today - I haven't seen them. Are they arelly that bad - does it look like he could be removing the needle or putting it in?

on an aside you would have thought he'd have learnt his lessons about letting people take pics of him "entertaining" himself (and others)

I really, really hope this piece of scum dies. How dare somebody who earns his very good living making records for kids, publicly show no disregard for hard drugs.

If he doesn't die by overdose then may he catch AIDS from an infected needle. Then when he lays in bed coughing up phlegm and wasting away, he will see the horror and devastion heroin and crack brings to communities and families.

What i dont get is why he was injecting into an unconcious girl? why does the news article say the police will "quiz" him? surely they cannot let him get away with that it has to be a serious crime! apart from it being a class A drug he is infliicting it onto someone else (i would assume without her permission if she is unconsious) and there is evidence to prove it!! he should be locked away and the key thrown away he is disgusting - her poor parents must be distraught!

Despite wondering why the hell the papers think we are interested in this no mark, I cannot see a needle in the picture. I thought maybe it's there and too thin for me to see but In fact I give injections myself and I've never seen anyone give an injection using only the thumb, you need the index finger to secure the syringe, I think it's a tampered with picture. Still doesn't mean he's a decent role model.

It looks to me like he's trying to find a pulse and doesn't know which side of the wrist to check, you shouldn't do it with your thumb, though many people do.

Whatever he is doing, with his record he should not be anywhere near needles of any sort, I doubt very much if he was giving a life-saving injection.

curiosity is right. Are there pictures that clearly do show a needle, or are the papers playing us for suckers? Note how printing alongside a picture that does show a needle - but was taken at some other time - encourages us to 'see' a needle in the main picture that maybe isn't there.
