How many of you will read the papers purely to find out what news has been buried in true Jo Moore style.

Or am I just too cynical for my own good?

I have to agree with you, it will happen.

I agree. You'll probably find a small article buried on page 15 the day after England win the world cup -'Income tax raised by 30% to fund British/American invasion of Iran'.

Agreed

erm.. now is it me thats the cynic but everywhere i go i here Embrace, This Morning have England flags hanging up,Mars have started a new promotion featuring the flag, kellogs have an England style song (Isn't it great!) and we are still hearing about 1966! and you think if we win/do well it will be buried!

No Oneeyedvic we will still be talking about it in 87500!

aggiela, I think you misunderstood the question.

They were asking what OTHER news would the labour party quietly leak out the day England win the world cup, or play an important game.

The reason she asks is that a few years ago, when some disaster happened Jo Moore of the labour party sent an e mail to her labour colleagues sayng it was a good day to bury (hide) bad news.
