Bazwillrun, good for you not wanting "them" here before the extremist element came, I personally don't want people like you here, but sadly we none of us can have our own ways about everything. People with narrow foolish views like yours embarass me beyond words and go a good way to making any bad situation regarding race or extreme religious fanatics worse by alienating and marginalising the reasonable majority within their comunities with your unpleasant and illogical views.

johnnythebosh no-one said that the acts of terrorism mentioned were ok, no-one said that they were acceptable but I did say that the media is doing a cracking job of terrifying the gullible into thinking that the sky will fall, when it clearly will not. This is provoking usually reasonable people to foolish kneejerk reactions that normally they'd never dream of and that will only make it all worse. We need calmness, common sense and a sensible strategy across the communities if we are to effectively deal with these people, not the "send em home, hang em high" rantings that we're getting, and I am honestly the last person you need to lecture about losing people to terrorism. I lived in a place where the whole street was petrol bombed when I was little boy, our whole street sent up in flames and a young boy killed. My best friend was shot dead when he was shy of 21 and I have had my fill of people thinking that hate of any sort will make anything better, that's why I hold the views I do.

When the Muslims were brought to this country it was for economic reasons.They were the only people who would do the really 'crap' jobs in the industrial towns & cities in the north. They were economic migrants of their day,but they had a right to be here as they were British citizens. They were hard working & law abiding & got on with their lives. However,they found it difficult to integrate into British society,often living in areas that were completely Asian.Our way of life was alien to theirs.eg. alcohol,dress code etc
The 1st & 2nd generation Asians very rarely got into trouble with the law,however subsequent generations have just as many drug dealers,burglars,rapists & murderers per head of capita as the rest of the country.
If you go to any council estate in Britain on a Friday or Saturday night you'll see the great British working-class at play. Drunken brawls,muggings,terrorising old people who dare to challenge their behaviour. Massed gangs of kids vandalising cars & houses,driving out the law abiding folk.
I live in a northern industrial city,over the last 15yrs I have resided in several different areas of the city,I lived in some maisonettes in ethnically mixed district & resided in a completly white working class area.I also lived in a very up-market middle class district. The worst place by far was the white working class,there was a massive drug problem. Every weekend there were drunken women spewing up & shouting. Fights were commonplace with both male & females. My car was done at least 15 times during 2 years. I could go on.
I know that the Muslim community are far from perfect, & i'm totally against the way they treat their women etc. But I think we should look at our society before we critisise others.

Wardy I do think those things are wrong you're dead right and I'm not blind to the odd bit of thuggery doing the job on the odd occasion as if you have a really good think about it, you'll doubtless know,you know where I'm from and what I've seen, but for God's sakes if we do not call a halt to all this media hype about this we'll have mass race riots on our hands the length and breadth of the country that'll take a damn site longer to calm than nipping it in the bud now when we still have a chance to and appealing to what I still believe is the sensible majority of Muslims.
People are not stupid they essentially know which side their bread is buttered and will deal with this within their own communities if they are handled correctly. Your ex intelligence, you know how to play communities, but at the moment we're risking backing them into a corner where normal people have to make choices about allegiences that they don't really want to and that is going to be disasterous.

If your views are so ingrained in the people of Britain, why do all the parties in Parliament despise viewpoints like yours and advocate democracy and freedom from oppression.

I've only read a few of the answers, and they are mostly like minded, and I agree with them.

Forget catagorising Muslims, send Mr Reid a letter, and ask him to tell everyone, regardless of race, creed or colour, who don't like it here, to leave.

You can't tell someone who was born here to go home, they are already home.

Noxy I have lived and worked in the ME some 6+years and I know that the only reason why Islamic Fundamentalists haven't taken over the world is that Arab countries are racist/tribal within their own ranks and can't stand each other. Racism for all non-white cultures has little to do with the colour of ones skin.

On a much less serious note- WM, your modestly in assessing yourself as highly intelligent is surely contradicted by your declaration about being in the Intelligence Corps. Loss of street cred that in my book!!!

Noxlumous as usual I always find it refreshing to read your views on AB. I agree with Xanthippe earlier that many people have concerns with the government's foreign policy in Britain and it has a lot to answer for. But this by no means justifies the actions by the extremists elements within the moslem community.

All I can say is that despite a member of my family being killed by an IRA bomb, I don't hate Catholics..or the Irish.

However I do agree that the Muslim population who are against these atrocities (or at least the religious leaders) should speak out publicly. A few days ago I asked ''why should they?'' but have since changed my mind.

When Catholics did this after Enniskillen the road to peace was paved. No longer did they want acts or terrorism performed in their name.

Its down to numbers and the effect on this country, prior to around 1972 we never had any problem of note with any immigrant group, numbers were manageable. and for the greater part they adopted this countries culture.

As for being British just because they were born here means nothing as far as i am concerned, they will never be british, they dont want anything of our culture they want our country, look around you see whats happening in the towns and cities, get it into your thick skull !!!

They already are home. Excellent points you have just said that you know what 1.2 Million people think and want. The last person who said that people who lived and were born in his country and shouldn't be classed as citizens was a Mr A Hitler in the 1930s. I'm sure you have a lot of views in common.

Serious question...would it be the police or army who should do the rounding up of all Muslims?

And what should we do if some of them go into hiding?

I'm putting this as a serious question, because you've made a serious proposition.

How do you actually propose this mass expulsion would work. Would they have to pay their own air fare, or would it be out of the public purse?

What would we do with the housing stock that would be left? And the businesses that Muslims own?

Furthermore, should we extend this to all immigrant families? How dark does someone have to be before they're under the threat of expulsion?

Maybe the police should be issued with a colour chart....perhaps Dulux could knock something up which could be made available to concerned parties at B&Q.
