Looking at some of the "old boilers" shopping in Brierley Hill market yesterday ,the wearing of veils should be encouraged.
As far as I can see muslims all seem to live in concentrated areas of certain towns and cities anyway.

Maybe somebody can enlighten me on this, yesterday I went to Manchester shopping and saw a couple of women dressed head to foot in black, just the eyes showing - (you know the outfit, the name escapes me) well they were both buying summery, floaty outfits ! Why ? When would they wear them ? I just don't understand if they make UK their home why they don't dress as we do and I DON'T mean mini-skirts etc. Why don't they want to "blend" in ?

Beacause they dont want to blend in. They want to isolate themselves from everybody else because they have a different culture and religion. Except that when the London bombings happened, they complained that people in this country made them feel isloated. Now, I have no problem with any race being here, but I feel that they should adopt our way of life (When in Rome etc.) and customs. I also feel that anyone planning to harm the people of this country should be treated as traitors, and shot! (Like we did to german spies in the war)

If this Muslim boy's school proves to be as suspected a centre for training terrorists, then we should stop pussy footing it around and close down all simular establishments immediately. Each passing day It is becoming more and more obvious that our country is becoming a training ground for individuals that are out to inflict terrible harm to the western countries and it's citizens. Therefore because of this current war situation that we now find ourselves in, the time has come to take even more drastic measures, which should include making it an offence for persons of the muslem faith to congregate together in large numbers. I know it is sad that we should have to punish the vast majority of peace loving muslims for those vicious few, but if you have a basket of snakes, the majority harmless and a few deadly dangerous, it would be foolhardy to put your hand in the basket to seperate them. Before anyone challenges me for comparing muslims to snakes the comparison was not intended, I was only trying to use an hypothetical example to make my point.

I appreciated bernardo's insightful comment, but it seems to have escaped directly over the question poser's head. Isn't it ironic (and American's are not supposed to be able to appreciate that quality) that the term concentration camp can be juxtaposed with the only modern day proponent of the destruction and annihilation of Jews as well as be posed in a way that's sympathetic to that group? Unique concept... in my opinion...

Australia seems to have the right idea, in my opinion.

dummkopf - I was told once by a Muslim colleague that, underneath the hijab outfits, they dress normally. Apparently she went to a party with a few of them (although she was very Western and not a practicing Muslim), and they took their garb and were all dolled up in make-up and glamourous outfits underneath. So, it could be that I suppose?

As Andy says, if someone hates it here so much, and everything the country stands for, then why not just leave..? Or am I missing something crucial...?

some of those muslim woman are quite fit and should really show a bit more flesh in my opinion. Maybe they could organise a muslim swim-wear extravaganza to fit in with our western ideals as I'm beginning to feel a bit alienated and isolated by their attitudes to sexuality.

I recently spent some time in two moderate Muslim countries. The modern people dress as we would, and refer to the other people as 'binbags'. Some women, apparently wealthier, wear the long dress for reasons of modesty, but the material is finer than normal and their knickers can be seen.

A friend was on a flight from a Muslim country (which can not be described as moderate) to the UK. The two women sitting beside him were in head to toe dress. They got up to go to the toilet, and soon afterwards their seats were taken by two attractive women in western clothes. He said that the seats were already taken and one of the women replied "Yes, by us. As soon as we are out of the country, we change into these clothes".

I read IKEA will supply their muslim employees with a hijab that has the company logo on !! whatever next ? maybe a new department for Marks and Sparks ?

Do you mean that the white settlers should've adopted the ways and customs of Aborigines?

sp1814 has a point, you've got to admit - same with the Mayflower settlers and the large-scale eradication of the Native American tribes in the U.S.

At the end of the day, we're all immigrants in our heritage, but you'd hope the human race would be more civilised by now - it seems some cultures just aren't. If you despise the country you're in so much that you'd wish destruction upon it, leave - simple as.
