Suffragette is right y'know. The silent majority you refer to, doesn't really exist. Whilst you may have a number of people at a local level who might support somepolicies espoused by the BNP, they will never be able to gain support at a national level because
a) they don't have the organisational infrastructure
b) there are too many people in this country who remember the scourge of fascism, and the BNP is facism through the back door
c) at the end of the day, we have a multiplicity of concerns that we vote for...not just immigration.
I predict that the absolute worst thing to happen to the conservatives is the removal of Tony Blair. From 2007, the Labour Party will have a new leader, and my money is on Dr John Reid.
If he takes over, then the most likely outcome of a general election is a heavily reduced Labour majority in the House of Commons.
...but then again, anything could happen in the next three years - who knows? David Cameron might even think up a couple of policies by then!
Dr John Reid and Gordon Brown are both Scots who should go back and look after their own Scottish Parliament that us English taxpayers to a large extent fund. Let the English run England !
Anyway that's another story for a debate.
If a few million was donated to the BNP (like Labour has their own donations) then whose to say the BNP wouldn't have a capable organisational infrastructure? Fascism through the back door is your interpretation, which you are entitled too but the BNP policies do not just concentrate on immigration. Remember in all walks of life ....Money Talks !
In other words, no I dont think a party full of extremely corrupt crooks, scumbags and hooligans replacing a party of fairly incompetent liars would improve the way this country is going. Not in the least.
Stevie619 - just wanted to say thank you for this post - if anything it has restored my faith in Britain aswell as AB that the vast majority of people do see the BNP for what it is.
Thanks again
SP - I think I'm fairly safe - I would happily concede it may not br GB but I'm convinced it won't be JR
Dassie...you could sling as much money at the BNP, but in order for it to build a strong infrastructure, they would need a mass of volunteers at a local level.
People would have to buy into that, and I just don't see that happening any time soon.
To answer the question properly, obviously some people do, but then some people buy Westlife records, some people think McDog burgers are tasty and some people like Club 18-30 holidays - which is to say, there's always some idiots, but most people wouldn't dream of it.
i dont do any of the above but i am beginning to think there is a place for the BNP.i dont personally want to join but this is the sort of climate they thrive on.i wouldnt blame anyone for joining them at this point in time, and they arent all kebab-munching chavs, as I'm sure you'll appreciate.I am just feeling more and more annoyed by these muslims and their ungrateful , delusional stance.thats religion for you.well let them practise their religion somewhere else is all i can say.one of them left the country last week-her dad kidnapped her and tok her back to pakistan!cant they all do that if they dislike our ways so much??nah-didnt think so!
its funny how all us scots get free uni education etc.my dad told me years ago england and their snobby government(that we didnt elect) were robbing us of our oil.if it wasnt for you lot, I'd be rolling in gold and diamonds and trading camels for who knows what!do I hold a grudge? not really..
