Hammerhead seems to forget that France has been at the centre of most European wars for many hundreds of years and yet was not even a member of NATO until recently.
I can always respect somebody's opinion but when they call oppsing opinions lies they simply show themselves up.
Incidently you may find this website of "euro-myths" amusing

You have obviously mis-read my answer. When I wrote "there is no way that we can get out of Europe, or have any choice in the matter, without waiting for hundreds of millions of years of continental drift and geological change", I was merely stating a fact. I was not assuming any agreement to any opinion by any other people. Nor was I even expressing an opinion. I was merely stating, as a fact, that it is geologically impossible for the UK to get out of Europe. That is a fact, not an opinion.
Le Chat:
It is meaningless to talk about "the benefits of being in" Europe (at any time), just as it is meaningless to talk about the "benefits of being in" Antarctica or Africa. Such a concept would imply that there is some sort of choice in the matter (one way or another), which there isn't.

Try to pay attention, when we say ' get out of Europe ' everyone knows, except you apparently that we are of course referring to the act of removing ourselves from the EU, and not as you think, to somehow geologically remove ourselves from the continent of Europe.
Hope this as cleared it up for you?

NO NO NO you were NOT talking about the EU. The questionner was SPECIFICALLY referring to Europe, NOT the EU. I was answering the question and I was being logical. If somebody wants to ask a question about the EU, then that will be a completely different question.
I am extremely intelligent and brilliant and this is my 10,000th answer and I am already in a bad mood anyway because of the stupid changes and you are a stupid fool.
