The UK faces the threat of increased crime when Romania and Bulgaria join the EU, ministers have been warned.

According to a government dossier reportedly seen by the Sun, up to 85% of UK cash machine crime is already committed by Romanian-organised groups.

The memo raises fears "free movement" will attract more people to organised crime in the UK, the newspaper says.

The Sun is only reporting a leaked memo. usually these memos are genuine and not made up by the Sun.

So assuming that the memo is correct and the figure of 85% of cash machine crime is correct then why drag the messenger in it. there seems to be an all too easy get out clause for people on this site...to rubbish the newpaper that prints these figures.....than to actually discuss what has been written.

So johnlambert...if the Sun figures are correct........would you be alrmed at the expansion of the EU (were we ever consulted about the EU).

I was refering to the printed media in general and not The Sun in particular. Take it all with a pinch of salt, remember, the popular press exist to increase circulation, and that "paper" has never been pro european and loves to print any bad news stories in order to undremine the EU.
