Considering the possible implications of a Hezbolah government it seems strange to me that the current protests are so far down in the news broadcasts . Is this so we forget that it was largely U.K. & American support for Israel in the recent war that has caused this situation ?

Really?, i thought it was caused by Hezbolah lobbing rockets into Israel. Lets not forget that this countries media is inherently left wing and anti Israel/Us/Uk so if even they can't be arsed to give it an anti Bush/Blair spin then it can't reaaly be that important.

Shawnee 'conveniently' omits to mention that Hezbollah has always stated that it will respect the internationally agreed boundaries as soon as Israel does so.

While I don't applaud the actions of an unelected armed group (Hezbollah) for firing missiles into Israel, I'm far more concerned about the actions of an elected government, recognised by the UN (Israel) for blatantly ignoring internationally recognised boundaries. Israel continues to illegally occupy foreign territories and denies the citizens of those territories their right to self-determination.

BimBim has asked a perfectly valid question. For far too long, the USA (and to a lesser extent, the UK) has provided unjustified support to Israel. It is now time that both the USA and the UK (together with all other UN members) should impose total economic sanctions upon Israel and starve them into acceptance of the rights of the Arab peoples.

dolly you perhaps would not know a properly presented political precis of the middleeast if it hit you full on the face.
Why does any anti-Isreali opinion have to be taken as pro-Nazi?
One of the great problems of the democracy he so trumpets about is that people don't always vote for who George Bush wants them to. I think he's just cottoned on to that.
bimbim, if you have not realised that the media (especially the bbc) is full of pro Palestinian apologists then you must be wearing blinkers.
