Does anybody wish to give an amateur Psychological profile of the Suffolk Slasher. He (assuming it is a he??) seems more expedient than The Yorkshire Ripper.

I can predict a "calling from God" will be mentioned when he is caught.

Will there be a non-tom killing like The Yorkshire Ripper?

Any ideas?

Hi Wardy, I'd say this is some guy who wants to emulate Peter Sutcliffe. I think he'll stick to prostitutes while he can, it is his MO, the same as Sutcliffe was. The problem will arise now that all the girls are on high alert and being extra safe (I hope) so maybe he'll have to change tactics and anyone will become fair game to him.

lets hope we dont get a faker that says they have done it and police take the wrong lead again then. The one big problem with doing everything the same and there being so many simililarities is that he can now be traced to every single one. any murderer with a 'calling card' is a bit stupid if you ask me.

if i chose to kill someone i would need to ensure a few things first -

- that i choose a woman, because assuming i am a man it is easier

- that i could find some women- so i need to go where there are plenty hanging around

- that its night so i can't been seen easily

- I also need one who will get into my car without fuss - i could grab them and throw them in, but it'd be better if i could find some who will come with me wherever i choose, just because i ask

mmm...now what women fit that bill....?

why do we instantly assume that this is some mysoginistic psycho who hates prostitutes becasue his mum didn't love him, and his girlfriend was unfaithful?

could it not just be because the girls are standing in the street in the dark late at night, sometimes alone, and will voluntarily get into your car and not show any resistance when you drive down an alleyway or somewhere dodgy - and nor will any of their friends.

if you tried this with any other woman, they would kick and scream and try to tear your face off - as would their friends...

Method of killing - I agree that the police could be holding back on information but they have said no obvious sexual abuse and no signs of injury....which leaves what?
That they could have been simply administered an overdose of some drugs but to me the obvious one would be asphyxia as seen in the case of Vicky, note they never concluded what her actual cause of death was. I would think that asphyxia would be quite easy to carry out if the girls had been drugged, where as if they had been strangled, it would have left marks and also I am sure that they would have out up a fight. Maybe this is why further tests are being carried out - toxicology etc

I am thinking a huge heroin overdose. The impurity of the drug gives the average hooker a good tolerance of the drug. So if intriduced to a purer variety (in abundance) it would kill them and may negate a toxicology report.

Also what a great incentive to attract hookers if you have a large bag of smack or crack crystals.

a previous news story stated this.....'Prostitutes in the red light district of Ipswich where the three women worked today told of their fears of a man called "Uncle". One vice girl, Debbie, 25, said: "He is supposedly a Christian at a church who often associates with the girls. He is a bit of a weirdo and gets a kick from it." but I'm not reading too much into that as yet. I agree Wardy, a big bag of heroine etc - red rag to a bull!!!

Maybe he is killing a lot of prostitutes to conceal just one murder of a non-prostitute - a bit like Agatha Christie's ABC Murders. The one real murder is concealed by a trail of red herrings.

I'm glad to hear that the 4th girl reported missing seems to have made contact via a friend, that just leaves Annette Nicolls unaccounted for at present.

How can you be so crass? Prostitutes or not, these women were still human beings. 'Jack had class' eh?
What's to say that Peter Sutcliffe or Myra Hyndley didn't have class then? or Jeffrey Dahmer, Dennis Nilsen etc. etc.

There is no such thing as a 'classy' murder.

I agree these are horrific crimes and I only hope that the killer is caught before more women are killed. No-one deserves this to happen to them., we are simply speculating and disgussing possibilites

pitstop bunny, bigmalc is refering to something Wardy said earlier, that Jack the Ripper had class. No idea why he said that, I took it that he was saying that although other serial murderers have nick names that are not actually technically true, Jack the Ripper did actually 'rip' his victims apart. Although to say he had class is a strange term to use.

The thing that worries me is the frequency of the attacks. Because no actual sex took place these killings are obviously linked to a desire to clear up the streets of his locality so he may even live near the red light area.

No I am referring to Jack the Ripper being (as mosttheories state) of Royal or Noble blood.

For some unknown reason Jack the Ripper does seem to be romanticized, probabally because of the so called links to the royal family etc. But I think that Jack the Ripper's crimes are just as horrific as Peter Sutcliffes' were and today's possible serial killer. Whilst I find serial killers fascinating, I would never condone what they have done.

You ain't kidding. Parked my car in the red light area today expecting to finish early and finished at 7.45. Not a pleasant experience walking there in the dark. Park and ride tomorrow methinks. Whilst he might be killing prostitutes (and whatever you may think of them they are still someone's daughter, sister, mother etc and do not deserve to die) I can't help thinking it is only a matter of time before he moves onto other women - mistakenly or otherwise.

This "uncle" things sounds slightly odd - and rather in line with the suggested profiles (above) though.

Has anyone noticed the similarity between the Vicky Hall killing and those of Tania Nicol and Gemma Adams. All late teens/early 20s, all went missing in early hours, all found naked, all in a stream, all within 10 miles of Ipswich. Clothing never found. With Vicky Hall she was taken from Trimley and found at Creeting, which would be a fairly short hop down the A14 (which is extremely close to the other sites). Perhaps it IS the same guy and as was said earlier, a spell in prison intervened?

Finally the police officially name the 3rd girl as Anneli Alderton and this time round they have mentioned the cause of death as being asphyxia, the same method that killed Vicky Hall. Surely by now they must have some idea of how Gemma and Tania died?
