It has just been mentioned to me that Al-Qaeda could be behind the Suffolk murders. Initially, I thought of it as hogwash but the more i think about it............................

1) They have picked on London already and Suffolk is not too far away.

2) Suffolk has a small police force so detection would be initially harder.

3) It has crippled their Police force (and hence digging at our national economy)

4) It has made many Britons feel scared just before our major Christian festival.

5) Islam is vehemently against prostitution

6) 5 non-muslims have died.

7) The biggest news story since the London Underground attacks, hence media coverage.

8) Al-Qaeda are quite mad.

Hello wardy,

Well I can't pick holes in any of the points you put forward, could it be them or just some nutter ? maybe we will never know.
I'd call crimestoppers straight away if I were you. They're may be a reward.
Do you write detective novels?
it is wierd the way so many have been murdered so quick...who knows
Yes, and the police believe a teenage prostitute murdered 14 years ago- that's 1992 folks- is linked with the case (her murder; I'm not saying she did it, 'cos if that was the case we'd all be bricking ourselves). Given that Bin Laden wasn't even focused on attacking US targets then, just seems a wee bit incongruous.

Other thing- Al Qaeda always seem to go for the big stunt, i.e. blown up trains, planes into buildings, suicide bomber in crowded market. Attacking Ipswich surely ain't their style. I mean, come on...Ipswich?
are you sure it was a real person who mentioned that theory to you and not : the voices : in your head ?

I haven't read that a definite link between the 1992 has been made yet. The last i heard they are not systematically linking all the recent 5 ones yet!! (But I haven't seen the news today)

Also for information Al-Qaeda ( in various guises) can be traced back to 1979.
While not saying there IS a link with Al-Qaeda, it is very strange for any one person to kill so many people over such a short period.

Often a murderer does one, then lies low for a while, then does another, as the Yorkshire Ripper did.

There is certainly something very strange about these murders (apart from the fact they ARE murders)
I read this morning about a possible link, nothing definate, but i'd like to know where your theory comes from.
lonnie, the theory comes from people with too much time on their hands, its been raining in some parts of scotland for a month i kid you not guess who is to blame Al_Qaeda ?
I've just read this theroy too, and I agree that it is highly viable.
whiffey, may i ask where you read this theory ?
On the Answerbank crete.
oh in that case it must be true especially if the theory came from wardy !
Yes, but Wardy- their first main strike against the US or the UK directly was the 1998 attacks against the embassies in Nairobi.

You also still haven't explained how Ipswich doesn't cramp their style.
I can't believe anyone is giving such a stupendously feeble notion the time of day.

crete, I am still knitting your jumper the noo, but only during small room sittings. It must be hell up there in Scottyland.
If its anything to do with Al-Qaeda i'll eat my own backside!!
If it's anything to do with Al Qaeda, *I'll* eat your backside.
oh party is having a B B Q . his backside , none for me thanks ive eaten, whiffey i expect that jumper for xmas day the noo.
