for malaria probs. Is this some sort of a tax dodge?

Its not a direct tax dodge as the cash came from the charitable Gates Foundation, set up by Gates and his wife Melinsa. According to todays Guardian " Mr Gates is facinated with biology and scientific advances such as mapping the genome for malaria...". Apparently Gates has promised to give away all of his wealth (and he is worth �28billion) before he dies, apart from a few million for his kids.
