kev died today
At least 10 years before his time, Kev was a strong man in every respect who was never popular because he had his opinions and wasn't afraid to voice them.
In the true American saying "I bought the farm" he did, after working his balls off for 40 years nnd buying our dream house in the lake district he "bought the farm"
It was a priveledge to be his wife of 40 years. Joan

Kev sounds a wonderful chap, I've got my odd oppinions too , I'd still of enjoyed a pint with him I'm shure.
Being as wonderful as he was, he wouldn't want you to be too sad if he could help it, eh? So now you are living partly for him and for what he would want. please be at peace.

Hello Joan
I have had a look at some of kev's many posts questions and answers on the news section. A few people think its a little odd that you have posted on here today but I send you condolences and thank you for letting everyone on the site here know of your loss.
I am sure you have your reasons and its not for anyone else to be critical of that.
Best wishes.

Hi Joan, so sorry to hear your news. Thank you for telling us. I'm sure the prayers and thoughts of many Abers will be with you and I wish you peace, balance and lots of love from friends and family at this sad time. 40 years in a marriage is quite a feat in today's world and I congratulate you on the loyalty you two shared. You were obviously a great couple and will always remain so in your heart. Time to celebrate kev's life now, even if it may seem hard without him there. I have the anniversary of my son Kevin's death coming up next month and so my heart really goes out to you. He died of brain cancer three days before his 21st birthday. But I keep my son safe in my heart, as I am sure you will your kev too. I send you a big hug filled with comfort and strength for the coming difficult times together with my best wishes for a future filled with light and loads of love and support from your family and friends.
And please Joan, take no notice of any negative comments regarding your posting this today. We are each individual and in traumatic situations do what we fell we need to do. You wanted to tell the world and all who had contact with your kev, that you and all who knew him had lost him. There is nothing wrong with that. So again, thank you for telling us.xxx

HI Joan, I am sorry to hear of your husbands passing.
It must have been very hard for you to log on using your husbands user name but I understand why you did it, If you had posted under a new name then it would not have had the same meaning.
If you ever check out you tube there is a lady called Teresa on there that has recently lost her husband, he used to post his tales of his days in active service during the war. She posted using his user name to inform thoses who care that her husband had sadly passed away. She still continues to post under his name and shares her highs and lows with people.
Once again thank you for sharing it with us a a sad time for yourself, If ever you want to talk there will always be people on here for you.
Here is a link yo some of her posts.

Well I am new and have seen a name and looked up and read the posts that Kev made. He had a nice way of putting things and Kev's passing is probably a loss to AB. My condolences to you Joan, and how nice of you to contact people that he was in touch with as I am sure that members who knew him will mourn his passing. So nice of you to think of AB and inform people. Thank you for that.
I am sad to hear of your loss. I recall kev100 being slightly controversial but with a high degree of dignity.
I used to be Ward-Minter on here, a name of which was banned along with all answers. So I am afraid, it will appear we never debated.
Although you may have many years left in you old gal, rest assurred that Kev is watching over you. And when your fatal day arrives, meeting him in heaven will be like your honeymoon all over again.
Given, the fact you met over 40 years ago, people didn't do anything before marriage in those days eh???. You're in for a treat!!!!
All the best and may the memories be as real and as vivid as the life itself. XxX
