paedophile not jailed
On tonight's news that a paedophile has not been jailed because there's no room in prison for him. Ridiculous state of affairs.

As a country we imprison more people per head of our population than any other country in Europe.
I suspect this is mostly because of the 'hang 'em high regardless' mentality so often seen expressed on this site.
So from that perspective perhaps those of you that take that stance also have to take some responsibility for convicted paedophiles being released!

What happens when W****** over pornagraphic pictures of children doesn't float his boat anymore Jen? Surely a custodial was warranted if nothing else as a shot across the bows to warn him off what up until now (as far as we are aware) has been indulging in his sick world on his own, but tomorrow could be involving little Johnny or Jenny next door but one?
So this paedophile is still out and about in the community, but a bloke who couldn't (or wouldn't) pay his council tax is in prison.
A scheme is mooted whereby drug additcts would be offered 10 vouchers for staying clean, yet hard working people that have had their pensions 'stolen' are left penniless.
What a wonderful country ~ how proud we should all be!NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, not at all Jake - prisoning somebody because they might do something in the future is absurd: however prisoning somebody NOW because they have been caught downloading pornographic pictures of children is absolutely just, and if that stops them progressing their sickness then surely that is just an added bonus.

This man downloaded 180 pictures of children being abused, if he, and the other perverts. who paid for these picture did not download them then the people who upload them would not make any money. He also admitted making 10 pictures, and uploading, them of children being abused
If there was no income the abusers may not abuse children, yes some will continue as it gives them a thrill, but others see it as a way of making money.
According to the TV this man lives a couple of doors from a childrens playground, he has pleaded guilty to abusing children this must make the parents in the area afraid for their children. Take note Jenstar and Jake he is an abuser. Therefore I see no reason why he should not have been jailed.
Maybe someone will appeal on the grounds that the sentence was too lienient.
