Terror Raids
I believe one of the alleged plots wasn't so much a bomb, but Iraqi-style kidnappings (of a member of the public), torture and execution - all videoed, of course. Now that is a scary thought. Could this feasibly become a reality? Members of the public being picked off and tortured at random? Just what Al Quaeda would want no doubt, panic in the UK. Worrying?

With islam, its a status thing. It would have to be a muslim working in a western way, in a high position or in the armed forces. they would then make examples of those people and try to deter other muslims from 'aiding' the west.
Whats worse is that i bet most of those arrested are home grown terrorists again...

I'm getting rather fed up with this constant threat from so called British citizens, who have been born and then educated in this country, and yet they still want to do us harm.
In my book this is treason, and if we cannot use the death penalty to rid us of these scum, then there are two other alternatives.
1/ Constuct a British equivilent to the Guantanamo Bay facility on an isolated Island of the north coast of Scotland. Bang them up there and throw away the key.
2/ Put them on a plane fly them out to Iraq or Afghanistan, and then drop them amongst the other terrorists to face our bullets or being blown up by their mates.

im sick of seeing on the tv that the friends of the arrested men saying that they were normal peace loving men then they proceed to blow up trains.buses and conspire to terrorise the community.they should inter radical muslims shut dowwn the mosques and protect the british way of life we should stop pandering to this religion.im sick of hearing its a peaceful religion if it is why dont we see them protesting against the atrocities that are being carried out?they are soon on the streets burning effegies of anyone who 'insults'them.inter the lot of them.they are all enemies until they can prove they are not.
On the national news, all channels, talk of a backlash. Yes, there will be a backlash, and it will be ever-heightened political correctness and oh Islam isn't really like this (it is). And we see interviews suggesting even at this early stage that it is the police harrassing Asians.
Bye Bye Britain, the one some of us once knew.

did I miss something - when did these men blow up trains?
Glad to see that at least derekpara wants a trial - seems others have made up their minds regardless of any facts.
ZEN. Are you suggesting that these arrests are a fabrication ?

oneyedvic people like that do go on to blow up public transport and then their friends and relatives say they werent that way inclined.remember the suicide bombers families comments after the atrocities in london?if it wasnt for the police no doubt we would be watching a poor bloke on out tv screens in an orange jump suit awaiting execution this is britain mate and that sort of behaviour is unnaccapteable full marks to the intelligance services ok mistakes have been made but its a small price to pay by the minority [whether they are muslims or not] so that we can go about our normal daily lives in safety.
"people like that" ? - not even going to bother with this one
"mistakes have been made but its a small price to pay by the minority [whether they are muslims or not] so that we can go about our normal daily lives in safety."
Just in case you can't add up (or read) of 895 arrested [on suspicion of being a terrorist] 496 were released without charge - that's more than 50% of suspects were not charged with any crime.
but you seem to think that they must be guilty - and if not then hey ho - it doesn't really matter!

then hey ho it only takes 1 or 2 maniacs to blow up innocent people maybe you cant read about the countless dead and maimed by these islamic terrorists so that means that 50% were deemed to have been a threat.everyone who is arrested is a terrorist until its proved that they are not.maybe you cant add up either thats 50% WHO ARE A THREAT you moron.its do gooders like you who give the terrorists the freedom to terrorise and its lily livered people like you who make me sick you have to be tough to tackle terrorism have you ever seen the atrocities caused by a bomb?i guess not but then again you cant see through rose tinted glasses can you?

Could you please clarify your statement: "people like that".
Which people are you referring to:
- People who have been arrested under the Prevention of Terrorism Act?
- People who have been convicted under the Prevention Of Terrorism Act?
- People who 'look like terrorists'?
- All Muslims?
- Everyone apart from you?
If you could narrow down your field of reference a bit and refrain from insulting people who post to this thread, maybe we could get somewhere.

Oneeyedvic,
What qualifys you to say that stokeace is a racist?
It seems that reading your comments, you feel extremely touchy about ''ANYONE'' commenting on Muslims, your stats mean absolutely nothing, furthermore, your stats do reveal that every other person who was arrested was charged in some form or another.
You seem to be nit picking ie ''people like that'' or people blowing up trains, granted no trains were blown up, but that was due to the incompetence of the Suicide bombers, they are still guilty of terroisom.
I get a very strong impression, you don't like non muslims giving their views, well tough sunshine, welcome to the ''REAL WORLD'' .These people {extremist} are fanatical, and hide behind religion in their own communites, ie blend in with innocent law abiding muslims. no doubt you will say i'm racist now, but then i expect you to say this as i've monited your post without commenting in the past, oh god, am i allowed to do that or have i breached your rights.
Ps, i suspose 300 asian men {note no women} who were on the streets near jackson rd in birmingham last night, were just being nosey, Wrong, they were trying to intimatate the police, but the police and goverment have had enough of these so-called ''SAFE AREAS'' be it Ghettos, estates or communites who all stick together, this country has to make a stand weather its against drug smuggling, trafficking, or terroisum, if it upsets a few, so what, get real and see the bigger picture rather than quote a few pointless stats and accuse others of being racist.
Pick the bones out of that if you like, you won't be able to offend me
