How can being kind, and more tolerant towards everyone be ruining Great Britain? On the whole I am not ashamed to be British, I think most people in this country are well balanced caring people. I do have much shame when someone uses our country's name to have a bash at others though.

Perhaps the reason is that they dispise us so much, that they all want to flood over here and take advantage of the soft compassionate nature of the British. And then after they have drained us dry and ruined the very infrastructure of this country, perhaps they will then leave us? job well done.

A lot of people go around bashing people who didn't come here. My friend who is of Pakistani descent, his family have lived here for 3 generations, no one stops to ask him where he was born when they start laying into him and calling him a dirty ****. They just see the colour of his skin and start tellinh him to eff off back home.

I wouldnt want to come here if I was one of "them". Not when I see how uncompassionate "our" lot can be

I suggest you watch that program on the TV weekday mornings about emigrating to Australia. The current 100 emigrants leaving the UK each day is likely to turn to a flood. Whether on jobs, housing or environment Australia wins hands down each time.

Great answer Booldawg. I read our history regulary Dom Tuk, except for the present political correct garbage that is now written, to make us somehow ashamed of our once glorious past.
We the great British people gave most of the world our fair and just Judicial System, Schools to Educate the masses, Railways etc etc. We cannot in no way be held responsible for the shambles that our old Empire has now become. If we were that bad why is it that these countries have not improved themselves now we are not there?
