on a calculator, how would you work out what percentage 65 is of 1736 please .

Turn the calculator on.

Press 6 then 5 then the divide sign (that's the horixontal line with a dot above and below it).

Now press 1, then 7, then 3 then 6 followed by the equals sign (2 horizontal lines one above the other). The display sholud be 0.0374423.

Now press multiply (the x symbol) followed by 1 then 0 then 0.

Finally press equals again and you have your answer (3.74423).

Of course, your calculator might be different too mine in which case read the instructions.
