Everyone, DUH! But seriously, no offence intended, who cares? The English exam system is a joke - what is the point of an exam where 98 or 99 per-cent pass? You lot should all go to Scotland and get a real education.
I think that Step666 will find that the pass rate in most Scottish Standard Grade subjects is also well over 90%. However, the original question was about 'A' passes at GCSE - any offers?
I haven't got the answer for you because I haven't done the maths, but detailed results of GCSEs are here: http://www.dfes.gov.uk/rsgateway/DB/SFR/s000419/in
dex.shtml
However, it should be noted the the Department for Education and Skills doesn't issue data for single grades. All results are expressed as passes at A* to C Grades and A* to G grades. Anyhow, I hope it helps.
