No, a referendum would be a complete waste of time and money.
Every five years we have a General Election and the various parties present their views on many things including Europe. Whoever wins the Election, then has a mandate from the people to follow the course of action which they presented.
If you are against Europe, vote for UKIP and you will soon realise you are in a tiny minority.
Can someone enlighten me. The petition says that Blair will be signing something on 25th March, I've heard nothing up to now, what is being done by stealth? Are they just ignoiring earlier No votes on the constitution etc. I can't seem to find anything on this. Can someone give me an objective summary, thanks.
Hi Gromit,
Yes, if you have a chance to vote UKIP you will be in a minority but by all accounts it is growing, even members of the main political parties are looking at the interest and support for UKIP.
Yes I am. The EEC has proved to be one of the biggest "snouts in the trough" opportunity for bureaucrats and MEP's which ever existed, and the amount of unchecked fraud and mismanagement of our money has been a disgrace.
I want my country to have its Sovereignty back so that we are governed by Westminster, not Brussels & Strasbourg, even if many of our own politicians are less than perfect.
Do you honesly think they take any notice of petitions ?
The only thing that works is direct action as in the Fuel protest of a few years ago.
Direct action as used by the French Farmers,Fishermen and lorry drivers.
