Another Banned Gurkha
Another Gurkha, this one badly wounded fighting for this country, banned from coming here for medical treatment. This counties treatment of Gurkhas is digusting, makes me ashamed at times like this to be British. The regiment I was in, worked in conjunction with a Gurkha regiment in Hong Kong and Malaya, these soldiers are second to none, and are so proud to be in service for Britain, Surely they can expect better?.

I agree with you entirely. Those men were some of the bravest men we had fighting for this country and they deserve to be treated as any ex serviceman in this country is at the moment.
This appears to be the second Gurkha that had to fight to be allowed back to the UK.
They do deserve better and I sincerely hope they get the proper treatment that they require.

Unbelievable..!
The Gurkha's have fought alongside the British in many parts of the world and they have been one of the closest of friends and bravest of allies that Britain has known. My father was always telling me when I was a kid,how much he respected the Gurkhas.Whoever banned these brave and loyal people from having medical treatment, should have a kukris shoved up their ****.

my brother served with the gurkahs in the falklands and he said they were the most fearsome warriors he had the pleasure to fight alongside and they are most certainly the most underestimated fighting force of the british army the treatment of these ex soldiers is shameful.the men walk for hundreds of miles over the himalayan mountains to serve the british army.if i were them i wouldnt bother.
There is nothing I can say to praise Gurkhas high enough. I am sure you know what these men do to honour our Queen. Their selection course alone will make most Paras cry in their mother's bosom. And their actual ongoing training will make Rambo tired.
I strongly envisage it is because Ghurkhas are peace loving Hindus as opposed to hate-fuelled muslims. Therefore Blair and his boyfriends, have nothing to fear from any political incorrectness or rebellion. He treats them relatively the same as he does decent hard-working middle class White Britain. That is appallingly.

We'll just have to wait to read about the U-turn in the tabloids. But WHY ? How can a set of people as thick as this government insist on being, and exhibiting ( how can you blame 'em they're actualy proud of the fact ! ) be given the job of serving us in the administration of this country ?
See tabloids Monday or Tuesday, might drag on 'till Wednesday due to reasons we'll naver know why - because they're just too important for the general public to be privy to. Ho bloomin Humm

a term of abuse, sp1814, mostly aimed at gypsies or the occasional chav who's gone downmarket. (One theory is they used to get casual work manning turnpikes, hence the name.) For many it is as offensive as 'queer' or the n-word, so others deliberately use it to cause offence. <waits for first use of the phrase PC, perhaps with 'gone mad' attached>
