See ya, Tone.

You really should have known when to go, you grinning wally.

PS - Thanks for saving us from the laughable Tories.
Just reported on the news that he has been interviewed today for a third time over the cash for honours scandal.

Am trying to surpress a laugh, no cant do it.

ha, ha, ha, ha, ha ,ha, ha.
Good riddance! If he had listened to the people regarding the Iraq war, he may well have lasted longer. Let's hope that GB really listens to the people of this country. Time will tell.
If there are 2 subjects on AB that are guaranteed to get the 'correct' responses it's any attack on Blair/Bush, or paedophiles.

I hope people don't do this just to gain a popularity rating.

I admired and respected TB, how safe is the bet that I'll be the only response favourable to him ?
Hmmmmm, pretty safe bet I would think whiffey.
It's very easy to be pro-Blair from your comfortable Western armchair...
What, so should we all agree with you then whiffey?

Would that make you happier & have you gain more popularity on AB? I don't think so.

Not everyone thinks the same as you, me or them!

Thank goodness!

No smudge, I am just being bitterly cynical and twisted from my comfy swivel chair.
Ah Elvis - you have pierced me to the heart with your pithy non-sequitur of a question.
Let's not forget that without him we'd probably still have troops getting shot at and blown up in Northern Ireland.

<add your own ironic puch line here>
A shame that Iraq spolit his 'legacy'. He was doing well until then.
I think they owe it to a few more people other than 'just' TB for the peace process in NI.

Don't forget all the hard work Mo Mowlam put into it too - surely she deserves some posthumus credit!
With respect Jake, the last soldier to be murdered in Northern Ireland was in 1997 but I dont think the ceasation of these attacks can be placed fully at Blairs door. Smudge, indeed Mo Mowlam does deserve credit, I know some people who worked directly with her while she was in NI and she did not suffer fools on either side, fine lady by all accounts.
Thanks warpig - I thought she was a very nice unassuming lady too, but with a lot of strength & common sense!

Also, she wasn't full of self importance, unlike her 'boss'!She didn't shout from the roof tops, along with a great big sickly grin - she got in with the job in hand quietly & professionally! RIP Mo.

<you can add your own ironic punchline here jake>
Smudge, apparently when holding meeting between different factions she used to whip her wig off as it was uncomfortable! LOL fair play to her!
I bet she did warpig!

It must have been quite monotonous listenng to others droning on about me, myself & me! ;o}

As head of a government you get the blame and you get the credit too.

I've said before that peace in NI is not just Tony Blair but lets face it, with Margaret Thatcher at the helm it'd never have happened.

Blair had to have the vision to believe that he could sell the peace agreement to all sides.

It's tempting to see politicians as all bad or all good but that's a pretty childish form of logic - as is judging such a contraversial politician based on his television smile.

I wouldn't go that far Joe - besides, they've got children who love & need them.

You know, like some of the soldiers who are being killed!
