Maddie arrest

El Pais newspaper has confirmed that the Spanish Police have arrested a Italian man for the possible abduction of Maddie. This is a respectable newspaper, so let's hope.

I don't understand how it's possible to make an arrest without knowing what actually happened.

There was a spanish reporter who had info for the parents and they refused to meet him, so he told the police, and hey ho there's an arrest. Italian man and portuguese woman.

Please God, let's hope this leads to Maddie's safe return to her parents & the twins.....

Unfortunately, he speaks of a French paedophile ring, but that Maddie is still OK.

I was really hoping she was with a couple who didn't have a child of their own....

don't think they have been arrested for maddie's abduction,it's something to do with trying to extract money from the mcanns by saying they could give them info on the whereabouts of maddie.

As we now know, the arrest is NOT because of an alleged abduction but for other reasons.

It looks like is was a case of them trying to extort money from the parents. There's no suggestion that the two suspects know where Madeleine actually is.
