gina, the one that "failed" as a suicide bomber will actually suffer more for surviving than had he been allowed to die. He will now have to live with letting down his "beliefs", something that will cause him more pain than any burns he has!
I think that they were maybe not trying to commit suicide - certainly the devices found in London were meant to allow the bombers to escape. As far as I understand, no-one was killed - he seems to have panicked because the big bloody jeep he was driving didn't fit between the metal posts of the door - if they had used an ordinary car, they probably would have succeeded.
My problem is, just supposing the car bombs in London had exploded, killing and maiming hundreds, and one of the perpetrators had been caught, what do you think his sentence would be?
The way it seems to be going is that we all may know someone muslim who didn;t used to be muslim and if they are a terrorist they are not going to tell us are they? It is the case that some of these guys have been normal every day lads and now they are part of this undercurrent of conspiracy to kill people they probably have lived and worked with or gone to school with
i'm not sure how this thread has turned into an anti-islamic one. we don't know the names of the suspects, let alone their religion. if this does turn out to be jihad, then it is the act of extremists who are in no way supported by the mass majority of muslims. people need to practise some tolerance.
yes that's a good way to describe it, noone can deny that that is what has been happening and it wasn't in my local parish church that these lads were recruited and trained in secret was it?
missmore that is an inredulous statement how can you be tolerant of people who, over the last 2 days have tried to murder thousands of people?that statement is incredible, naive, stupid and hairbrained.would you have been tolerant if 1 of your family or friends had been killed or injured in the events of these last 2 days?tolerance is the last thing on peoples minds at this moment in time.
