I think that the terrorist would bomb anywhere . Probably they may have chosen scotland because Gordon Brown new in office is scottish and also the Queen was visiting scotland today.

I have seen no statement by the authorities as to the colour or nationality of anyone known, or supposed, to have been involved either in London or Glasgow.

Where does it say the Glasgow suspects are white and/or British, Whiffey?

in answer to styley, yes, it's possible. Apparently jihadi websites have been muttering about an attack to mark the beginning of Brown's new job. And Haymarket is sort of not far from parliament, though not really so close as to be a clear statement.

whiffey you seem to have a major problem wi Islam and Muslims in general. If you have Muslim friends, do they know what you think of their religion and yir opposition to the building of mosques?

I don't think it is the colour of their skin Corbyloon, it is more their whole way of appearance now, i get very confused as to who wears a beard, who wears a hat, who wears those long white shirts over white trousers, and i only see them if i go to preston, like today and yesterday, it was apparently prayer day and there were dozens of asian men walking about and i was abit confused cos it is so unusual for me.

The pictures we are shown on TV and in papers seem to be so similar and so as someone who does not come across many asian people on a day to day basis it is abit hard to know who is not suspicious when i don't know what to look for, which i guess is the point, they are walking amongst us.

dot, Dr Harold Shipman murdered hundreds of his patients but I don't assume that every other doctor is likely to do the same. There are extremists in every relgion and there are those who will support them but they are a very small proportion.

You say it's hard to know who to suspect but have you thought it should be the other way round? Individuals are are innocent until proven guilty but now we have every follower of one religion as a suspected terrorist.

That isn't what i was saying Corbyloon, but as a dead ordinary person in this country that takes no notice of the news from one day to the next, the stuff that is sinking in is that it is young men being trained to commit these acts of terror in another country in the name of some holy war that i have never heard of til lately, I just want to get on with my life, not worry that i might not get off the next train I take alive or find my daughter blown up in the middle of Preston.

You said you weren't sure who was not t suspicious, implying you suspect them all. There is a huge difference between being wary and suspecting anyone and everyone who is different.

well i don't see any asian people from one month to the next, but when i suddenly see a few dozen all in one place and they look just like the ones on the tele they filmed in where ever that guy was with the long beard, it kinnda puts you ont he back foot, we don't all live in big towns and cities with a large asian community, it is not a common occurance for me, i would rather suspewct someone than be picked up off the street in a dustpan
