What would you like to see done about Muslim terrorism?

As we all know, if members of any of other religion stepped out of line in a Muslim country, there'd be merciless reprisals. Yet here we pussyfoot around Muslim fanatics and terrorists, petrified of hurting their feelings...which makes Britain a laughing-stock. Until all British Muslims publicly denounce and actively attempt to prevent extremism, I'd like to see the erecting of Mosques and Muslim schools stopped, all existing Mosques monitored 24 hours a day, all Muslim children forced to attend normal schools wearing normal uniforms, and all Muslims full-stop be made to carry ID cards. Any Muslims who don't like such singling out, can go live somewhere else. How many would complain if they did?

I'm not aware of anyone who thinks Britain is a laughing stock with their handling of terrorism. In fact, we're world authorities on dealing with terrorism having dealt with it for decades.

How do you propose that we record every single Muslim in Britain denouncing terrorism? Mindless. Good luck with monitoring every mosque 24 hours a day!

Muslims are quick to take to the streets at the drop of a hat, if anyone dares to offend them. Therefore I would say to all those so called moderate Muslims, to take to the streets now and burn effigies of Osama bin Laden, the Parkistan, Afghanistan, Iraqi and Iranian flags, and call out for the deaths of all terrorists. Then and only then will I believe that you fully and truly support this great country that you have chosen to reside in.

An intersesting debate.All I have to say is that not all Muslims are terrorists bit lots of terrorists are Muslims.The Muslims living in Britain will have to be patient with the security agencies because of this fact.

It will be a long time, there are 71.8% christians and 2.8% muslims in this country. It will be many decades before muslims out number christians.

I take your point Gromit but how long has it taken Islam to achieve 3 in every hundred people?May be you have a site that we can look at which shows a projection of population growth by religion.I have recently returned to live in the UK after 11 years abroad and can I say,things have changed here in many ways!!
Returning to the original question about punishing these murderers.It need not be anything physical,but it would involve pork!!
The peace loving Muslims,who must be constantly embarrassed by the ''baddies''should call for ''excommunication of the murderers[calling off their date with the virgins]much like the Pope should have done with the IRA-but didnt!!!

The first wave of Asian immigrants began to arrive in the UK in the late 1950's primarily to work in the textile mills. So it has taken them 50 years to reach less than 3%
