I have a golden labrador and he has seen my grand children most days and I looked after the youngest for 3 days in the week. He used to guard him and when he lay down he would lie down beside him .I would trust him as he is the gentlest loving dog but I would never ever trust him 100% as I don't care what anyone says no dog can be trusted no matter how much they are loved and been looked after.
