This may sound weird, but last night my four year old cousin told my aunt last night to get out of the bedroom as she wanted to talk to madeline. When my aunt asked where madeline the four year old replied "in the mirror"

Afterwards my little cousin said that the man who sat on maddy's bed killed her. and pointed to her chest saying it was bloody there on madeline. When my aunt asked what madeline said to her my cousin replied it was a secret.

Weird, however i do believe in the afterlife and my little cousin has not been exposed to the media stuff or even knows abut the case. What do people think about this?

To be honest, I think she sounds like she has been exposed to the media (or just the story) somehow (perhaps by accident with nobody else knowing - say, from hearing it from another kid or something like that), and has gotten scared. It sounds like a product of a 4 year-old's imagination and fear, to me.

I know you're not going to like that answer. But you asked.

I feel sorry for your cousin though, poor thing must have felt terrified.
got to agree with the above poster I'm afraid. Somehow, somewhere your cousin has heard people talking about this, and embellished it a bit as kids do, though I have to be honest and tell ya that's one bloody creepy embellishment!
how strange is that!

For once I'm in total and 100% agreement with both Neil and legend.

yup i know its a bit weird but there is no need to be rude. Its not in bad taste, just because people aint used to talkin bout this stuff, Come out of the closet- The girl is probably dead.

i didnt mean that to be horrible that is just what happens when kids go missing.
Yes I agree with the majority on this, children pick up on more than you think and if she even saw a glimpse of the TV or overheard someone, her imagination has run wild!
I'd like to point out, that 'if' you belive in the Paranormal, children are more receptive than adults,

Have you asked her to describe the man?.

Even though this sounds far fetched, I wouldn't dismiss it out of hand.
I am not being rude, i just happen to live in the real world. God knows how confused your daughter will grow up if you take every dream / hallucination seriously.
I'm surprised the McCanns didn't employ a psychic to make contact with Madellene via the toy Mrs McCann carries around with her. Also to visit the flat where she was abducted.
We moved to our last home before this one in 1987 when my eldest son was only 6 years old and my daughter was nearly 4 . It was a new build with low boards around the back garden as the fencing hadn't arrived. We had only been there a day or so and my daughter was at the top of the garden and we watched her from the kitchen window and her dad asked me who she was talking to, we called her in, and asked her, and she said, 'nanny was just telling me she knows where we are' (my mother-in-law had died 8 months earlier)
Not used to talking about something is one thing.

Believing this is a load of bulls testicals is another.

Whether you want or like to admit it is another.

As I've said previously. This story has turned to titilation. I'm awaiting someone to prove me wrong.

Until then, good luck. I hope your're proud of yourselves.

God knows someone must be.....
Whilst I'm skeptical about this particular story SizzleSquid, I don't think you meant to post it as a joke or meant to cause offence.

Then again, I saw a ghost when I was eight years old (scared the bejesus out of me), so I'm biased.

The paranormal, the afterlife, ghosts, psychic powers, ESP, telekinesis, the tooth fairy, fairies at the bottom of the garden, santa clause and the troll under the bridge do not exist.

Your cousin has heard something, either on the TV or being discussed by her parents.
Unbelievable

This is total nonsense, and i can only agree with the majority of people who have stated so in this thread.
All I can say to these cynics is, don't be so dismissive of these matters. You may find you have a lot to learn. Just because you don't understand it and are not prepared to give the matter any thought and consideration, that is your problem. There is something of truth in this subject as my daughter really knows and feels.
Conversely, how about not being so open-minded your brain falls out?
